Matt grew up in Columbus and earned a degree in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University. After graduating, he worked for regional landscape architecture/land planning firm in Charlotte, North Carolina before returning to Columbus to join the Don M. Casto Organization, a national retail development company. Shortly after leaving Casto, Matt formed Metropolitan Holdings. He has gone on to successfully develop and build a portfolio of urban infill projects that have enjoyed financial success, all while integrating sound urban planning, and award winning architectural design.
David specializes in commercial real estate sales, leasing, landlord and tenant representation, land sales and consulting. His extensive background in the financial, construction and development areas make him uniquely qualified to assist each client.
David has been licensed since 2005 and has been involved in hundreds of sales and leasing transactions totaling over 10 million dollars. Prior to that he spent 15 years in real estate lending and bank management, as well as 15 years in the real estate construction and development business. He was instrumental in bringing over 3,500 multi-family units on line in the Columbus marketplace. David was awarded the Columbus Realtors “Most Unique Commercial Transaction” for 2013.
Chris Beardman is a 30-year veteran in the construction industry. Starting part time, while still in high school, with general apartment building maintenance for his Boy Scout leader, he moved into ground up construction of single family, commercial and multi-family buildings. The majority of his experience is in Multi-Family construction with projects ranging in value from $600,000 to over $38 million. Chris brings and even keel, common sense approach to the table. In his spare time, he enjoys building Guinness Book of World Record meatballs and writing about himself in the third person.
Andrew is the controller of Metropolitan Holdings. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration from Heidelberg College as well as a Masters of Accounting degree from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining Metropolitan Holdings, Andrew was a senior manager for one of the “Big 4” public accounting firms.
Andrew has vast experience in real estate accounting and finance areas including leases, joint ventures, investments, financing, and mergers & acquisitions. Andrew’s responsibilities at Metropolitan Holdings include leading the day to day accounting & finance function, treasury management, construction draws, and other financial matters as they arise.
Andrew enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three sons (which keep him very busy!) as well as rooting on the Buckeyes and Cavaliers.
Gary has worked in the construction industry since 1994. He began his career building custom homes and has grown into a management role overseeing the day to day operations of multi-family construction. He has been involved with new build projects, complete renovations, historic restorations, hospitality buildings, commercial office buildouts, and senior housing projects for more than a decade. He currently oversees the daily operations of company construction projects, monitors proper safety practices, ensures quality standards are achieved and schedules are maintained through all phases and completion.
Michelle Cordle moved to Columbus, Ohio from a suburb outside of Chicago to study Graphic Design at Ohio State University. She has 20 years’ experience in property management. She has received numerous awards, including Best in Class and Property of the Year. As the Director of Operations, she will oversee the daily operations at Metropolitan Holdings, focusing on policies and procedures, contract negotiations and increasing revenues.
Michelle resides in the Columbus area with her husband and three children. She is active in her community and volunteers her time to assist with coaching and handles communications for the High School Softball team.
Lindsay Herrick relocated from the Youngstown area to Columbus in order to pursue a career in residential real estate. Over the past eight years she has had the fortune of working at several properties ranging anywhere from 80-800 units. She is well versed in lease ups, renovations, and stabilized communities. Her background in graphic design paired with vast knowledge of property management allows her to employ creative strategies when it comes to marketing her properties. She joined Metropolitan Holdings in order to continue lease up efforts our brand new community, spearhead lease up at projects in pipeline, and maintain our existing communities. Lindsay is responsible for management of our portfolio and has formed a strong partnership between maintenance and operations teams in order to best serve our communities.
Lindsay and her husband are passionate about cooking and enjoy preparing meals together. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors biking, hiking and kayaking. She is also an enthusiastic antique collector and loves finding unique treasures.
Sara grew up just outside of Cleveland, and relocated to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. She graduated with a Business Degree, focused in Real Estate and Urban Analysis, and began working for a large multi-family developer during her last year of school. After starting a family, and working in a few different industries, she landed at Metropolitan Holdings in November of 2015. Sara handles the daily office management tasks, as well as providing assistance to the property management, development, construction and brokerage teams.
Schyuler was born and raised in Ohio. He attended Independence High School while also attending Northeast Career Center, Graduating in 2002 with a degree in Landscape and Floral design. Receiving the Sponsorship Spotlight award for his design at the Home and Garden show.
He has been in property management for over ten years. Five years of that as a Maintenance Supervisor. Schyuler is HVAC certified and well trained in all aspects of maintaining a property.
He currently oversees the day to day operations of our maintenance department in Grandview.
Bray is our assistant maintenance tech and has been with Metropolitan Holdings since 2016. He assists Schyuler with service calls, helps take care of unit turns, and is in charge of keeping our grounds clean and beautiful. Always willing to help with the task at hand, Bray is an essential part of our team.
Bray grew up in Upper Arlington and graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 2016. He is currently enrolled in the facility maintenance program at Columbus State. He enjoys taking apart things and figuring out how they work, which is one of the many reasons he is a terrific maintenance tech.
